Airline fees these days can be quite expensive. One way to save on those annoying fees is to only bring a carry on bag while you travel. If you are traveling across Europe or heading on a cruise that may seem like an impossible task. It’s a long trip and you have a lot of different outfits planned. Instead of bringing less on your trip you just need to pack smarter.
Take the Bulk Out of Clothes
Clothes are big and bulky, and especially if you are traveling in the winter you may find that packing an outfit for a few days fills up your entire suitcase. Luckily, you can get a vacuum pump for packing. Just put your clothes in a bag and use the vacuum to suck out all the air to make slim stackable bags of clothes that take up hardly any space. Leaving room for all your cute shoes and hygiene items.
Fill Every Nook and Cranny
No space should go to waste! You can use your shoes as little compartments to keep things organized during travel. Use them to hold jewelry or other small items you are bringing along.
Don’t Waste the Personal Item
Even if you are bringing a carry on bag most airlines still allow you to bring a personal item. This is your opportunity to go as big as you can. Get a large backpack and use it to stash another outfit and better yet your toothbrush. That way you don’t have to have stinky breath and you will feel a little bit more fresh after a long flight. Your bag just needs to be able to fit under the seat in front of you.
Airlines may be trying to take more of your money by adding fees to everything, but you can fight back by bringing the same amount of stuff but using a smaller amount of space.
